Giving thanks

We took a road trip for Thanksgiving.  We met up with our dear friends the Campbells in Purgatory Chasm.  Such a beautiful place.

We hung out in Newport, RI on the beach. We tried to find a restaurant for a yummy turkey dinner.  The place was like ghost town, nothing was open (except for the $50 a plate option).

We drove up to Providence.  Again, every thing was closed except for Haven Brothers.  It is a semi trailer turned into a restaurant.  It was featured on Man VS. Food.  At this point we were starving!!! I ordered the MURDER Burger with a fried egg. Nothing says Happy Thanksgiving like a Murder Burger!

We fished the evening at an outdoor ice rink and returned home to devour our pecan pie.

We have so much to be thankful for and feel very blessed!!

Today we ran like a pack of wolves at the "Run Like a Wolf" Turkey Trot.

New England squirrels LOVE pumpkin.  Next year we will have the squirrels carve our pumpkins.

Photobooth Fun!

Kent Falls, CT

This is Halloween...

October was a great month for us.  We had lots of Halloween.  Sandy was supposed to come right at us.  It is a scary feeling seeing a storm that big headed your way. We were very blessed that it turned west.  My heart goes out to those that weren't so lucky.  Halloween was canceled last year because of a massive storm so we were very thankful to have it this year.

It's always fun when Grandpa comes!!!

We love fall in New England for many reasons, but one of the best is that Papa Peterson and Sharon come visit!  We had so much fun with them and were so grateful they would come all the way to see us!

The day of my half marathon, we added several miles of walking as we were lost in the Scantic Valley Corn Maze.

We spent a day in Boston walking the Freedom Trail.  Rocky's favorite part was having a real police officer put his hat on his head.

We went down to New Haven, CT and Lighthouse point.  I wonder what this beach looks like after Sandy hit it.  I am scared to find out.

We went to Amhurst, MA to the Eric Carle Museum.
I love this picture!  Rocky wanted to be twins with his Pappa.
