We made it!

????? (This is not a yard sale!)
What the heck?
Matt made it, OK, we all made it through the first year of the MBA program! We are so proud of him! He has worked his can off! We have been celebrated the end of the year by going on a short road trip to the crazy little town of Bedford Indiana. The top 3 pictures were crazy things on the side of the road we saw while driving through!
We have been to lots of end of the year parties. Here are a few of my favorite MBA gal pals. I feel so blessed to have so many great friends who are all in the same boat in B-Town. We will miss you Tania!

For Mothers day, Matt and our friend Joey took both of our families to Monroe Reservoir for an night of canoeing, chubby bunnies, geodes, and great fun. We found a spot the kids named Geode Island, it was covered in Geodes. Jackpot! Thanks so much Joey and Sally!

Matt took off mid-May to start his internship in Marysville Ohio. We made sure to play hard while he was gone. We joined him yesterday after a 4 hour drive with our little Saturn packed to the gills!
It is great to be together again. Marysville is about 30 miles from Columbus, OH. It is a cute little place with a lot of character. We have a cute little town home sans any furniture. I tried an air matress last night, not the comfiest accomidation for a woman in my maternal condition. I ended up sleeping on the floor which wasn't much better. Our neighborhood has several parks and ponds. I think we are going to have a lot of fun.

Lots of rain in Bloomington! Several roads were covered in water!

Here HE comes!

We had our ultrasound this morning and found out that Rocky Rich is on HIS way! I am so excited!!!! He is currently 11 oz! I eat things bigger than him! I love to see my babies, it makes me cry every time.

I started going through my baby clothes, pulling out the boy stuff. Then I started bawling realizing that unless there is some huge miracle, there will be no more girls coming to the family. Ruby's little clothes are so stinking precious. All the memories of her in them were much to much for a pregnant momma to handle. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to be having a boy. Can't wait to meet him!

Coop Dawg

It is crazy to think that 5 years ago tomorrow Coop was born! Yesterday we had his friends over for a Hotwheels party. He was in heaven! I was pretty proud of my racetrack cake. These are some of my favorite Coop pictures. Here are my 5 favorite things about Cooper:
  • There is NEVER a dull moment when he is around.
  • His sense of adventure.
  • His expressions (he looks like he is always up to something because he is!)
  • His laugh.
  • His love of learning (yes this does include his "smearaments".
I love you buddy!

Mashed Tomatoes

Have you ever wondered what happens when you drop a 15 pound rock on a Roma tomato? Well wonder no more, Cooper did this little "smearament" as he likes to call experiments. Last week it was with a raw egg. After I put him in time out, I ran and got my camera with trying to hide my laughter. It is a good thing that little scalawag is so cute!

My nature girl

For Ruby's party she wanted a nature theme. We had so much fun coming up with ideas. We made bird nests out of play dough and sticks, pine cone bird feeders, fruit flower shishkebobs and rose cupcakes. I was pretty excited about the cupcakes.

We had pony rides in Brown County State Park with the Kelley Kids Club (children of the MBA students). Rubes loved it and as you can see from Coops face, he is NOT a fan of horses.

We are loving the spring here in Bloomington. I had no idea a place could be so green. All the trees have beautiful blossoms and flowers are coming up everywhere. It is good to have all the wild life back. We were looking into the woods behind our house and saw a doe and a fawn, this place is amazing. I love spring!

Easter

We celebrated Easter early this year. Funny thing I am posting so late! The Rich family has great easter traditions! We went to Grandmas for our anual egg and basket hunt. Everyone (including grown ups) has to find their basket and their own personalized egg. The yard is huge so this is no small task. My kids LOVED being with their Rich cousins. We are so thankful that they celebrated early so we could be a part of it!

We had 3 other egg hunts in B-Town. I didn't do baskets because the Easter Bunny does them at Grandmas. Cooper found this VERY disturbing. He will mostlikely need counseling as an adult!

My favorite part of Easter is another Rich family tradition. Since her kids were young, Matt's mom would go into the kids rooms, pop her head in the door and say, "He is Risen!" This year she called all the way from Berlin with the great news. The greatest news in history!
