Red Butte Garden

We went with Papa to Red Butte Garden. We just can't get enough of him before we go. I don't know what I am going to do without my dad. I love this picture of kids following him. He is one of the best examples they could follow. I hope they always will!
This pine cone weighed about 10 lbs! Wouldn't want that to fall from the tree on your head!
The flowers are amazing and the childrens garden is so much fun! Ruby loved this cake with 6 candles on it just for her. Cooper loved climbing through the snake maze. My dad knew most of the names of the flowers. I have a lot to learn.

These ducklings were so stinkin cute! They hung out with us for over a half hour. They would eat right out of my kids hands.

This was an amazing daddy-daughter date that I will always cherish.

Springers Cabin

Springer and I took our kids up to her cabin.  I am really going to miss having the mountains so close!  Even more so I am going to miss all my great friends here.  Springer and I have been friends since we were in kindergarten!  Sure love you Springer!

Go, Go Power Rangers

We went and saw the Joseph Smith movie tonight. It was amazing. After we walked around Temple Square. Cooper, of course, was wearing his Power Ranger suit. He was walking around the reflecting pool in front of the temple. Next thing we know he had fallen IN the pool. We laughed so hard that I cried. I wish I had a video of that! I guess the suit needed to be washed!

Havasu

We just had the funnest Peterson family trip to Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. It was me, my dad, his friend Sharon, and my brother Rob and his family. It was a 13 hour drive and then a 9 mile hike into this little Indian reservation. I totally felt like I was in another country. We stayed at a little hotel for 2 days. There was a little store with prices that were out of this world! All the food is flown in by helicopter or packed in by horses. A box of cereal was $9.67!@#

There were 3 different water falls that we hiked to. This has got to be one of the most BEAUTIFUL places on the earth. We swam in one of the falls. The water was an amazing blue green color. The cold water felt great after hiking in the105 degree air.

We had so much fun. I have the most amazing family. I look up to all of them, even my niece and nephews who are younger than me. My sister-in-law is awesome. I hope that when I grow up I can be just like her. We all know how awesome it is to have big brothers. I wish they all could have been there. My dad was a super hero! He hiked the whole thing and he is 75 years old! We laughed a lot! By the end I really missed my little family at home.

We went to a tiny branch on Sunday for church. There were 5 members of the branch and about 60 visitors. It was a sweet experience that I will always remember. The spirit was so strong.

We left early in the morning so it wouldn't be too hot. The hike out was awesome. Great company! Our car overheated in Las Vegas which was over 111 degrees! We were driving around with the heater going full blast and the windows open!

My daddy is my favorite pal!

I just spent the greatest Fathers Day with my dad. I am a total daddy's girl. I feel so blessed to have such a great dad. Here are just a few of the reasons why I love him:
  • His smile
  • He is ALWAYS positive
  • His unshakable testimony
  • His ability to fix anything
  • His sense of humor
  • He is completely honest
  • In all of his trials, he has never asked why me.
  • He looks for the good in every situation
  • He gives everyone the benefit of the doubt
  • He is good to everyone
  • He is always learning something new
  • He is one smart cookie!
  • He honors his priesthood and is always willing to serve others with it
  • He is witty
  • He is a great example
  • He has helped me to understand how much my Father in Heaven loves me.
  • His generosity
I love you dad!!!

I have been taged

The rules: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names; then goes to their blog, leaves them a comment by letting them know that they've been tagged and invites them to read your blog.

1. I am completely black and white. Especially when it comes to the safety of my kids. Matt calls me the carseat nazi. I won't back up the driveway without buckling up.

2. I love popping and picking at things always have, always will. My mom had a pore on her back that was always productive. If I was having a bad day she would invite me to pop it. Now that is true love.

3. I can't lie. Not that I would want to. I am not like Jim Carey in Liar Liar, but don't ask me to tell someone you are not home when I am sitting by you. It feels great to be able to say I try to be honest in my dealings.

4. I am PARANOID of lice. I can't sit down on any soft chair in public with out having second thoughts. I look through my kids hair all the time. I have Matt look at mine all the time. He is convinced that I am crazy. I really abhor rats, but the thought of lice will put me over the edge.

5. I love church. I love almost everything about it. I love to teach my kids the gospel and even better is seeing them use it in their lives. I am so excited to move to Indiana and share my love of the gospel.

6. I love getting THE best deal, not just a good one. I love thriftstores, yard sales, coupons, and free local events. My best deal was a double baby jogger that was $500 for $25! I won't buy any clothes or shoes unless they are under $5. I only go to the thrift store when it is 1/2 off day!

I am tagging Jenner, Lori, Truck Chick, Christine, Marcae and anyone else who want to participate
