General Conference

Wow, what an awesome experience it was to be able to sustain a new prophet! I loved hearing President Monson and totally knowing that he is a prophet of God. I loved his cute story about his wife after her coma.

I also loved the last talk on mothers. In the middle of it, Cooper came in and wanted to read a story. I told him no and realized I was missing the point of the whole talk! So I missed the rest of the talk while we read about a lizard that can squirt blood out of its eyes.

I love being a mom. It is scaring me how quickly my dudes are growing up. I hope I can be half the mom my mom was.

We have a conference tradition of making cinamon rolls. They are so very yummy! My cute non member neighbors keep track of when confrence is coming because of my rolls. Matt asked me if they were missionary rolls.

My house is still very clean and only one person has looked at it. Renting it might not be so bad. I just finished painting the window sills, they look awesome!

And for the record, I AM SO DONE WITH SNOW!!! When will it be spring?

Go Hoosiers!

We are for sure headed to Bloomington, Indiana! It is nice to know something for sure after all this waiting. I just found out it is on the fringes of "Tornado Alley". They have tornado sirens all over the place. SCARY! We may just be blown back to Utah.

Cooper is laying by my holding my wrist as a type. He is all drugged up on Motrin and Delsym for his fever and cough. He got a fabulous Spider-Man shirt for Easter that lights up whenever he moves. I thought I had an ambulance outside my window, nope just Coops shirt! Sure wonder when these batteries will wear out:>

Twins!

I met a darling girl in my neighborhood named Christine. I thought that was an easy enough name to remember. The next time I saw her I found out her last name is Lee. I thought that was crazy because I am Christina LEE. I ran into her again and you will never guess what her maiden name is, PETERSEN! Is that crazy or what!!! One her best friends is moving to a little place called Bloomington Indiana!!! Wow is this a tender mercy or what!

Today I hopped in the shower with Ruby, my other twin, because I was in a hurry and she was not. She looked at me and said:
Ruby: We are twins
Me: We sure are!
Ruby: Except you have long boobs and hairy privates!

Only one person has come to see my house. I am so stressed out. I can either be a fun mom OR have a clean house.

House For Sale!!

What a crazy life!! We just put our house on the market. I am terrified because the market is so slow, we need some serious prayers! I have spent the entire week cleaning every nook and cranny of my house. This is so stressful. I feel like a freak of a mom always telling my kids not to touch anything. We were reading the story of Mary and Martha in the scriptures, how one is always cleaning and not choosing the better part. Ruby said, that sounds like you mom! Hopefully my kids will still love me by the time we move! I had to show pictures to convince you that I really did clean.

Ruby and I went to see Disney Princesses on Ice. She told me that she is not really into princesses anymore. It almost broke my heart. I can't believe how quickly my kids are growing up. It makes me so sad, but I love where we are right now and look forward to the future.

Missions and Snorkels

Matt's parents received their mission call yesterday! They are going to BERLIN, GERMANY!! I am so excited for them. I am glad that we will be gone while they are gone. I don't think I could handle thinking about them eating Morrissa's pot roast without us!

Funny story, Ruby and Cooper were taking a bath the other night. Coop was lying on his back and a certain part of his anatomy was poking up. Ruby looked over and said, "Is that a SNORKEL? Can he breathe out of that?" I was crying because I was laughing so hard!

Craziness

This picture is sooo Cooper! It is hard to catch that kid!

I was getting out the next size of clothes and putting the things that were too little in a pile and Coop put his spiderman "uniform" in the pile all by himself! Even though that outfit is totally up his bum I almost cried. He is growing up so fast!

Newsflash! Ruby asked me to do her hair! She has let me do it twice now!
It was a dream come true!

This is our new favorite activity. Water in a pan with a squirt of dish soap and a straw will keep my dudes busy for hours!

We are still on the waiting list for North Carolina. My guess is that we will end up in Indiana. We are thinking about selling our house. It kills me, but it would be nice to be able to pay for school. I just wish I knew what would happen for sure!

Happiness

My cousin, whose daughter is in the hospital, has the greatest quote on her blog. If you can't see the bright side of life, than polish the dull side! I love that. Life is often rough, but happiness is a CHOICE! My favorite scripture is 2Nephi 5:27 And it came to pass that we lived after the manner of happiness! I love that. We have made it our family scripture. I have asked Ruby to remind me of that when I am not as pleasant as I should be (which is too often)!
